He was paid by the City Of Los Angeles worker’s compensation administrator (InterCare) to deny treatment for my injured back after my highly competent, Harvard trained pain management doctor requested it. Consequently, I’m forced to suffer in pain while his denial of necessary treatment is appealed. He never examined me and made his determination at the pleasure of the City of Los Angeles.

Agree with all other reviews. Inconsiderate and lacks compassion. Has a God complex. He thinks he knows best and does not take accounting of what works for people to move on with their lives while trying to live with chronic pain. He works as a reviewer/denier for insurance companies probably because he lacks the skills to take care of patients. Hopefully I will never interact with him again and I would discourage patients from having the misfortune of having him as part of their care.

So called Dr. Gart is a paid hitman for Brookshire hathoway insurance, he is
Intentionally causing severe pain and Suffering possible death of an injured
worker to collect Payment, never having laid eyes on his victims please see
formal complaint filed with medical board, He belongs in a jail cell. Civil complaint
to follow in U.S District Court. What a disgusting, unethical human being.

As a utilization review board Dr he denies me the very treatment that he would probably request if I was his patient. These Drs getting paid by a utilization review board 99% of the deny treatment that my pain management Dr requests to help me out of pain. A little about me; I was getting up to 11 months of relief from epidurals until these greedy Drs started to deny me treatment. I paid out of my own pocket to have a RFA treatment which gave me 6 months of a lot of relief. Why would a pain management Dr like Gart deny me treatment for pain if it works? There's no money in it for them. That's right Dr, deny me the treatment that works to get me out of pain!

Maybe the Doctor should not say things like “its not that bad”, or “join the club” in regards to the pain I am experiencing and visiting him for. Also, being told to take 2 Aleve a day is advice I could have looked up on the Internet. The Doctor wanted to spend more time talking about Oscar winning movies than on my pain.
I have been in pain due to back issues for almost 10 years and am serious about finding out all options to help myself get better. This man surely was not. He did not help me “manage” anything, other than an Alleve dosage. Well done. My THREE bulging disks thank you for taking my insurance, and doing nothing to help my “not so bad” pain.

He Has DENIED me ALL medical treatment, even though he never saw me or talked with my main treating physician. He is a HACK of AIG insurance and is told what to do and say. His office is in Los Angeles. I live in the San Francisco bay area. He is on their payroll, gets paid $375. for each denial report. I was injured in 1987, by a drunk driver, while "I WAS ON DUTY" as a cop. I have had 5 spinal surgeries. I have 2 Court Order Awards of Lifetime medical treatments. However, both Dr. Gart and AIG have chosen to ignore both Orders. I sit in constant pain, since being denied treatment. AND...he calls himself a "Pain Doctor". LOSER!!!!!!

A dear friend of mine has just been referred to Dr. Gart, and I'm so glad she will be in such good care. I remembered his name from 27 years ago when he became a hero to me. Following arm surgery I was not doing well. I was a Cedars employee, and sent to Dr. Gart. He found the problem, fixed the problem and got me back to work.
