Thank you for fantastic food on Christmas Day! The soup dumplings were perfect. The hot and sour soup had a vegetarian soup base. The lobster cheese balls appetizer had a surprising mochi like shell. Very tasty! The opera cake was even better than at pastry shops in turn. Service was excellent, the interior was beautifully decorated. All around a wonderful experience.

Shout out to our server Don. All the dimsum we ordered were a trip! We had Peking duck as well as we celebrated my son’s recuperation from his surgery. We had to sit outdoors because we didn’t make reservations. It was packed! The outside weather wasn’t too bad we got lucky. Love love love the decoration and the food? Authentic and recommended! (Did I mention clean and heated toilet seats?)

TLDR: Ling Wu is an upscale Chinese restaurant that has exemplary service and great food.

I have been to Ling Wu 3 times now, and each time I find a new dish I love. Also their service is top notch, but I expect that with their prices.

Their soup dumplings which they're famous for are delicious , but actually the bao is my favorite appetizer . Their beef potstickers, crawfish dumpling, and har gow are good too, but not quite as good as the first two.

For the main course, my family loves the whole snapper, but that is a bit pricey. The snapper comes out displayed very elegantly and it's seasoned well and pairs with the various peppers it is served with. 9.5/10

The peking duck is a good portion size and delicious. I know duck is just a more expensive meat, but it doesn't have the same flavor to price ratio as some of the other mains. 7.8/10

If you're going to try sesame chicken anywhere, Ling Wu is a great place to do so. It's a mildly sweet and more savory sauce on large pieces of chicken. It's not overly saucy and sweet like many take-out places. I'm also a sesame chicken addict and it's the best I've had in Austin since Dynasty Buffet went away. 9.1/10

Finally the pecan shrimp is amazing. I'm not typically a shrimp person but the balance of flavors with the aioli and nuts is perfect. I don't like food really sweet, but if you do, the apple adds a nice flavor and texture to each bite.

Also if you go during a birthday or special event, they will give you some ice cream in a cute cat mold! It's a great time and great environment.

The worst thing I can say is that they charge you like $5 for small bowls of white rice. I think with the prices you pay on everything else, they should be able to spare the sub-dollar it costs for a cup of rice per person.

Came here to celebrate my birthday but did not feel like the restaurant really cared - restaurant knew we were there to celebrate my birthday but there was no mention of it or nothing to celebrate for us (such as ice cream that some one else mentioned in another review). We were also not served promptly and no one came to check in on us. We had to call for the attention of the servers.
The foodd was ok. Expensive place with "meh" standard food. I would rather spend the money elsewhere honestly for the price I'm paying, especially with the lack of service. I would recommend my friends to go elsewhere to celebrate their special occasions because I did not feel celebrated nor feel that the food was worth the money.

Long Wu Asian Restaurant is located in Southwest Parkway in Austin, Texas. We have seen good reviews about the place. As we were driving by at about 8 pm one evening we stopped by. The place was packed. We had to wait for about 15 minutes to be seated. (Would recommend calling for reservation). Service was friendly. Food was very tasty and delicious. Definitely recommend that you give the place a try.

First time here with my boyfriend and the atmosphere was great. We were sat quickly and were able to make reservations last minute Friday night. The food was amazing and did not disappoint. Service was friendly and server had great recommendations. It was more expensive than we expected with drinks being $18-20 each. Overall totally worth it.

PF whatttttttttttt? Great steamed dumplings hand made, good service clean restaurant Combination fried rice full of flavors. Took a food blogger friend with me #NGNO and was extremely amazed. We will be back . Never disappoint.

I live in China for 15 years and this place is great. Not so oily as typical Chinese food. I like the fact that they have lots of chicken options since I don’t eat pork. Overall great experience. It’s not cheap but the the food quality justifies the extra cost. This place is also great for bigger parties as they have these long tables. You need to try their cōngyóubǐng (scallion pancake) it’s a 1st time I had it with curry and it was delicious. Even better from some places in Shanghai. Totally different spin on the old favorite. Also their chicken dumplings were super juicy and had great flavor. If you like Chinese food I would definitely recommend this place.
